Readable
Highly spiritual and respectful of the reader, the text is grave without being pompous. Philosophy without a doubt, nevertheless extremely readable. I recommend it for anybody in search of the meanders of soul and mind, never one without the other.

Motor Vehicle Collision Injuries: Mechanisms, Diagnosis, and Management
Published in Hardcover by Aspen Publishers, Inc. (15 January, 1996)
Authors: Lawrence S. Nordhoff and Larry S. Nordhoff
Average review score:

Must Have for the whiplash physician
Dr. Nordhoff has put together an outstanding work that I use literally every week in my practice. I rate it as one of the top 2 books on the subject (The other is by Foreman and Croft). While our udnerstanding of the actual mechanisms of whiplash has changed in the past year (1999-2000), the rest of this publication is timely, informative, and balanced.

The illustrations are relative and informative, and the guidelines it presents are clinically effective.

Mr Noon
Published in Hardcover by Cambridge University Press (November, 1984)
Authors: D. H. Lawrence and Lindeth Vasey
Average review score:

A Must for Lawrence Fans!
Although this book is unfinished by the author, it will not disappoint! This novel should be viewed for its lyrical merit rather than its story line. "For a little man who suddenly imagines life to be something and the Word a mere bauble in the hands of buffoons like himself. Finds himself strangely anxious, books showering down on his head like the ruins of Carthage, while all the time he wants life, life, whatever life may be. Finds himself anxious-to be with young people, to share their existence, their youth"...."Mr.Noon" The story follows Gilbert Noon, a young schoolteacher that has a torid affair with a fellow schoolteacher named Emme. After her father catches them in the "act", Gilbert flees the small town to start life anew. Vowing to pursue his doctorate in Germany and to put away silly romantic endeavors. After escaping to Germany, his real trouble begins, he meets Johanna, a smoldering mature German woman with much experience in the ways of life and love. I really enjoyed this book, and I hope you enjoy another one of Lawrence's treasures as well!

Muscle Art
Published in Paperback by Heretic Books (April, 2003)
Author: Ray Lawrence
Average review score:

Almost like photographs!
I'm so glad Gay Men's Press published this exciting book of Ray Lawrence's "Muscle Art." This artist draws the dream body in vivid color with such clarity and detail they look almost like photographs. These nude male drawings are mostly in classic poses, with some interactions, wrestling, etc. These are musclemen we would all like to look like. Ray Lawrence must have had some beautiful models to work from, or a excellent imagination. If you're a bodybuilder or just enjoy this type of art of beautifully drawn nude men, this is a good book for your enjoyment and collection.

Music - Its Role & Importance Our Lives
Published in Hardcover by Glencoe/MacMillan McGraw Hill (January, 1994)
Authors: Charles B. Fowler, Timothy Gerber, and Vincent P. Lawrence
Average review score:

The best music appreciation text I've seen for this level!
With its beautiful photographs and the variety of music discussed, this is the perfect music appreciation text for the high school level!! It covers a variety of musical careers and performers/composers. The music is not approached in the traditional "boring" way, and students get excited about what they are learning about. A must-have for any high school!!!

Music for Patriots, Politicians, and Presidents: Harmonies and Discords of the First Hundred Years
Published in Hardcover by MacMillan Publishing Company (October, 1975)
Author: Vera Brodsky Lawrence
Average review score:

Invaluable resource for scholars/teachers of music/history
I'm trying to get a copy of this book for my own library because I keep referring to it so often. If you teach history and are looking for a way to make it come alive for your classes, try this book (if you can get it--check a good university library). You will find songs that the patriots sang during the Revolutionary War, songs from the Civil War, and songs from presidential campaigns. The pictures are invaluable, gleaned from libraries by the author, a renowned historian in this area. This huge book covers a large time span, but doesn't spare the details that make history "live" in a different era. I think this book is a must for anyone entering the interdisciplinary field in a serious way.
